They had already done some sightseeing in Tokyo for three days. After their Kamakura tour, they planned to visit various places in Japan. As it was too hot on that day, I especially took care of their physical condition. The male visitor was very interested in Japanese landscape gardens because of his job. As I talked about the garden of Tenryuji Temple designed by a priest named Muso Soseki at Engakuji Temple, he said, “I want to visit there by all means.” So I gave him some information on Kyoto in addition to the garden. At Genpei Pond of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, when I told the female visitor that we say “shi” for ‘four’ in Japanese and it also means “death”, she realized why “four” was skipped out of all the room numbers of hotels. As it became hotter and hotter, it was tough for them to go up the stairs to the main hall. After that we took a bus to Hokokuji Temple. They enjoyed drinking maccha (powdered green tea) and felt cool thanks to the bamboo grove. As they looked a little tired, I gave them enough time to take a rest. At Benzaiten Cave of Hasedera Temple, and Kotokuin Temple (Great Buddha), he enjoyed taking a lot of photos of her. As they were really a nice couple, I felt happy being with them throughout the day.
