Tim and Clara enjoyed Yokohama tours fully before the departure (day 1) and after the arrival (day 2) of a 10-day boat cruise on the Diamond Princess. The itineraries Clara requested were:
-Day 1: visit to the Sankeien Garden, lunch at the Ramen Museum in Shin-Yokohama, ride on the Akai-kutsu bus to the Yamate area, tea break at a café there, and stroll on the Motomachi street.
-Day 2: walk along the bayside from the Osanbashi International Passenger’s Terminal to the Cup Noodles Museum, lunch at the Landmark Plaza, and visit to the historic area in the port town.
At Sankeien, they only visited the outer garden but seemed very satisfied with its
quiet and authentic typical Japanese atmosphere. At the Cup Noodles Museum, the couple enjoyed making cup noodles and the Momofuku Theater, and bought some cup noodles as a souvenir for their niece. Tim, walking a little behind Clara, took a lot of photos as momentoes at every spot they visited. During lunch, Tim and Clara ordered some different dishes so that they could experience a variety of tastes and shared the foods happily. Clara said one of the pleasures of travelling was to taste local food as much as possible wherever she visited. Both Tim and Clara were very pleased and satisfied with the KSGG’s guiding services and said “Many thanks to KSGG for their services! Without them, we could never have had such a good time.” They talked about good memories of the rides on city buses and subways, the magnificent view of the town and bay of Yokohama overlooked from the rooftop of the King (government building), and the explanation about the history and the development of the city after its port opening. They also said that KSGG’s HP was very informative and easy to apply for volunteer guiding services as it carried guided tour reports with beautiful photos. They told the KSGG guide that they wanted to visit the Kirin Beer factory and Kamakura the next time. The guide saw them off in front of the Osanbashi Terminal.
