Date & Time: Monday, June 24, 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Spot: Oppama Plant of Nissan Motor Corporation, Oppama Factory
Visitor:  An American from Florida
Attendant: A KSGG member
Language: English

The person had visited Okinawa, where his sister works for the U.S. forces, Osaka and Hiroshima before arriving in Tokyo. Through WhatsApp, we arranged a meeting at Oppama station. It was raining slightly when we walked to the assembly plant. We arrived 30 minutes before the tour and used the time to look around the photo gallery, which the visitor seemed to enjoy. A staff member of Nissan handed a wireless receiver to me for Japanese language and one to the American visitor for English. And the staff also lent me a transmitter for English translation.  By using these devices, I could give the visitor an English translation of what our Nissan conductor said. The tour started at 1:30 pm and lasted 90 minutes. It included:
• An introduction to Nissan and its history with video (10 min,.)
• A bus tour around the dock area adjacent to the plant(20min,)
“We were very lucky to see the two car-carrier ships that carry up to 800 cars each,” according to the Nissan conductor.
• Assembly plant tour (40 min.)
The visitor watched the processes of car assembly, and the testing of completed cars.
After the tour, we took the shuttle bus back.to Oppama station.
