This time I guided a Chinese family of three from Guangzhou. The mother was a talkative person, she asked me so many questions. As she is about my age,
our conversation became exciting. I said to her “I don’t have any children, so I really envy you because you have such a lovely daughter like K”. She said, in a serious tone, “In China, because commodity prices, housing costs, and education expenses are surging, it is quite difficult for us to raise children.” Even in rapidly developing China, their lives are as difficult as those in other developed countries. They seemed to travel very often. As they wanted to go to quiet places during the Chun Jie(Chinese New Year), they chose Nihon Minkaen or The Japan Open –Air Folk House Museum. They said that was their first visit to Japan and they could travel with ease because its public transportation is convenient and safe.
