Three outdoorsy ladies in their early 50’s whose children had already grown up came from Malaysia. They wore shorts and tights in order to walk along Daibutsu hiking trail. They had found their accommodation on the 4th floor of Inoue Kamaboko Store located 150m away from Kamakura Station. It was not until I went there to check in advance that I found the guesthouse where we can stay overnight without meal for 3800yen. As all of them work out at the same gym, they were fast walkers. We entered the mountain from the side of Jyochiji Temple, after walking through the temple gate. We enjoyed red, yellow, and green beautiful leaves in the sunlight which was like a multicolored print. They took a lot of pictures while posing like models, saying they had never seen such beautiful scenery in Malaysia. We had a cup of tea at a hidden café “ Itsuki ” along the hiking trail, where they had wanted to go for a long time. They also wanted to have pork bowls for lunch at a noodle restaurant, “ Sato no Udon ” . Surprisingly it won the Japan Donburi Grand Prix. I was greatly impressed by their effort to collect information. I realized that the way of traveling has changed. Tourists get information about all over the world and enjoy what they really want to do with local people. The ladies were satisfied with the trip and also it was a wonderful day for me as I had a great time with them.
