OYAMA HIKING TOUR: Announcement
Tour date: 5th of April(Sunday) 2020.
(OYAMA Course-1)
Possible number of guests per tour: 5 – 15 guests
Minimum number of guests to run tour: 5 guests
Participation Fee: JPY1000 (as the share of the travel expenses of KSGG guides and the insurance including you.)

Mt. Oyama
Mt. Oyama hiking tour (Course 1) is to visit some spots along the approach to Oyama including the waterfalls before climbing up to Afuri Shrine via Oyama-dera Temple.
Let’s climb up the stairway to Afuri Shrine. From there you can see a splendid view awarded 2 stars in Michelin Guide. Surrounded with the sounds of streams and waterfalls, hikers or visitors can enjoy the breezes from the trees and feel the fresh air of Mt Oyama.
This hiking route is a part of pilgrims’ way leading to Afuri shrine and Oyama-dera Temple on which many people pilgrimaged since ancient times.
In addition, as it is the best season to enjoy cherry brossoms, we are taking you to trail Sakura-yama hills to see Oyama cherry trees (400 yrs. Old) for about 50 minutes before start walking along the old pilgrimage trail. (This additional course is only for the tour on April 5, 2020)

08:30 Registration starts at Isehara railway station of Odakyu Odawara Line (OH36).
Complete registration of all participants
08:46 Departure / Take bus to “Oyama Elementary School”
09:04 Trail Sakura-yama to see Oyama cherry blossoms
10:00 Afuri Shrine Bureau /walk through Old Approach and waterfalls
11:00 Start Climbing up Oyama via Koma Sando, Oyama cable car station, and Onnazaka
11:40 Oyama-dera Temple
12:05 Afuri Shrine Shimosha
Lunch
13:50 Miharashi-dai viewpoint
14:45 Return to Afuri Shrine Shimosha and start climbing down Onnazaka
15:30 arrive at Oyama cable car station (the tour ends)
(Please note that climbing from Afuri Shrine Shimosha to the summit of Mt. Oyama is not included in this tour)
Please note that the tour may be canceled in advance if a good chance (such as 40% or more) of rain or any bad weather is anticipated during the day of the tour.
